Rare Tribal Authorization
Today, the Tribal Clerk of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation witnessed my oath, so I am now authorized to officiate for weddings anywhere on the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation, including the casinos. This is something new for the casinos, as they have only recently made allowances for those who do not hold tribal membership to marry on The Reservation. Therefore, not all Connecticut justices are registered with the Tribal Council.
